2015年5月12日から30日まで駐日スペイン大使館にて開催された堀越千秋展「¡Mamá de mis entrañas」のオープニングパーティーにて呈茶会を開催しました。
山から運び込まれた自然物や襤褸で作られた茶室は、まさに「市中の山居」。堀越氏の茶碗で、多くのお客さまに一服を楽しんでいただきました。

The tea ceremony was held at the opening party of Chiaki Horikoshi’s exhibition “¡Mamá de mis entrañas” held at the Spanish Embassy in Japan from May 12th-30th, 2015. Chiaki Horikoshi was born in Tokyo in 1948 and began living in Spain (Madrid) in 1976. The tea room was fabricated using rags and natural objects brought in from the surrounding mountains. The organic materials softened the urban landscape of the Spanish Embassy in Japan. The performance drew parallels to Chiaki’s dual Japanese and Spanish heritage. Guests were also served tea from Chiaki Horikoshi’s ceramic tea bowls.
